At the moment, I am a PhD student at the University of Aberdeen. I have three main interests: Conservation biology and Ecology, Forest Restoration and Permaculture. My current research is focused on the role of the landscape and Avifauna on the natural regeneration of native forest in degraded grasslands in Sri Lanka. I have also worked in the past in conservation biology, looking at the population ecology of an endangered turtle species in Venezuela. I am particularly interested in the relationships between human, animals and plants. Additionally, I have a keen interest in Permaculture. In the future I aim to conduct research on the benefits of the agricultural methods used in Permaculture.
