Dr. Gina Maffey
Project Maya Associate
Gina is an environmental scientist interested in how natural resources are managed, particularly in situations where conflict over management decisions exist. Gina recently completed a PhD at the University of Aberdeen, in which she used deer management in Scotland as a case study to consider the use of habitat monitoring as a tool to inform management decision making. She has always had a fascination with film and photography, and during the course of the PhD her hobbies have been influenced by academic interests. She enjoys trying to use media to communicate complex topics as a visually beautiful story - and to consequently see people get enthused about the same topics!
