Campaigns

Maya campaigns are based on the research of our Associates and Affiliates. Like the rest of our work they are sustainability focussed, and look at what we can do in our own community, garden or growing space can do to make the world a better place.  If you are interested in finding out more about our Maya campaign projects,  and those we collaborate with, or volunteering to help out on a Maya campaign click on the links below or email us at info@mayaproject.org.

#nomow

Peat Free Pledge

Food for Bees

#nomow is a twitter campaign started in 2012 and run with our friends at River of Flowers to encourage native wildflower habitat creation. We want all road verges to be managed for wildflowers and to inspire people to manage their gardens and community spaces for the benefit of wildlife, to plant more wildflowers and to not mow! See here for more info...

Our peatlands store more carbon than the forests of the UK, France and Germany combined, they provide clean drinking water and are habitats for our rarest species.

Inspired by Prof. Mark Reed's work on peatlands, we want to inspire you too to help protect our peatlands by taking the 'Peat-free Pledge'...

Without pollination by bees (and other species) many fruits and vegetables would not be available. We are campaigning to encourage food growers to plant pollinator-friendly plants on their plots. Plus, we offer discounted seed balls to get you started! Find out more here....
