Start a Reserve
Deciding to make your existing park, community garden, urban farm or area of private land a Maya Reserve means you are joining a global movement to reclaim land for people and nature to share. Our best practice guidelines makes it easy for any individual or group to fit with the Maya Reserve model. By joining our voices together we can have a huge impact on global sustainability. The more reserves we have, the more we can have a real chance at making a difference to the quality of life on the planet.
You can become a Maya Reserve by emailing us directly at info@mayaproject.org, or for an application pack. All applications must include details of how core guidelines 1-3 will be addressed in the reserve (although we anticipate greater emphasis on core principal 1 in more rural areas).
